We believe every disabled child should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Many of those who came to us as children have now grown up. They are on a journey towards independence. We see this as a fundamental part of fulfilling their potential.
At the end of December 8 young adults in our care moved into their new home. It’s close to the Lighthouse in Changsha. With the support of special mentors, these young adults are now managing their own living arrangements.
Every month one of the group assumes responsibility for domestic tasks. Cooking is a team effort. Li Shi does the shopping, Sun Wu cooks, and Li Run and Li Qiao wash the dishes.
We believe this project will be a huge success. We look forward to the day every disabled child in China will be able to reach their potential.
