If you walked around a major Chinese city 20 years ago, you wouldn’t have seen much evidence that it was Christmas. Nowadays you’d have no trouble working out what time of year it was. There are Christmas displays everywhere. Many people celebrate by decorating their homes and sharing special meals with family and friends.
We’ll celebrate too. The children and adults we care for will know they are loved this Christmas. There’ll be games, singing, gifts and lovely food. There’ll be lots of happy, smiling faces.
But many of China’s abandoned and disabled will not share their experience. As you celebrate, please remember them.
Our vision is that every disabled child in China will know love, hope and opportunity. You can help make that happen by sponsoring a child, joining a China Team or becoming a volunteer with International China Concern.
