China Teams provide an opportunity for you to participate. Most teams last for 16 days, beginning and ending in Hong Kong. Our team leaders join each group in Hong Kong and provide support for the duration. After an initial orientation time in Hong Kong, teams travel into mainland China and are usually based at one of our projects, allowing you to work directly with China’s abandoned and disabled. We will let you know your team location during the application process.
You don’t need any special qualifications to participate in a China Team. We are simply looking for people with a heart for China’s abandoned and disabled and a willingness to serve.
You should be over eighteen years old, though we will consider applications from children and teenagers where they are accompanied by a responsible adult. Teams are not suitable for children under twelve.
If this is the first time you have applied to join a China Team, please download and complete a team application form. The form should then be sent to your nearest International China Concern office.
If you’ve taken part in a China Team within the last two years, contact us and request an application form from our China Teams department.
Please make sure you include the date of the team and your email address. We rely on email for the bulk of our communications as it reduces administration costs. You must include the registration fee with your form.
