We have a vacancy for an experienced China National Development Director to join our China Leadership Team. Based in China, this role is pivotal in representing ICC in negotiations with the Chinese government, working to develop relationships that would strengthen existing projects. Additional aspects of the role include creating a local National Office to raise the profile of ICC and stronger funding opportunities within China. You will be called to embrace a team approach with the wider China-based leadership team to initiate, develop and implement new projects within China.

The Occupational Therapist will perform assessments, treatments and reviews for children with physical and mental disabilities within the ICC Projects. In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in helping the children gain independent, productive and satisfying lives.
The Physiotherapist will provide “hands on” assessment, diagnostic, rehabilitative and preventative services within an interdisciplinary health team with an ICC project location. The goal is to evaluate the children’s needs based on present disability, prescribe individualized treatment plans and ultimately ensure the realization of maximum physical mobility and functional independence. Additionally the position exists to provide training and instruction to the local therapy assistants so that treatment programs can be continued at the end of service period.
The Speech Therapist will assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech related disorders found in children with disabilities at ICC Changsha Project. They will develop therapeutic programs for speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders.
As the Special Education Teacher, you will be involved in the instruction of children in academic subjects as well as daily living skills to benefit their academic, behavioural and social development. You will contribute to developing and implementing strategies to meet the needs of children who have a variety of disabilities.
The Activity Co-ordinator is required to work alongside the International Therapy team to provide stimulation and activities for infants and children of all ages with varying abilities. They will also support and monitor local staff in running activity programmes for the children. This role would suit an early childhood teacher, likewise someone with experience with children in any setting would be a good fit.
As the Art Therapist in ICC’s orphanage operations, you will utilize the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of the children under the care of ICC. You will also provide essential contribution in the assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation in the area of mental and emotional health. The position reports to the Therapy Manager.

The Child Psychologist will provide a range of mental health services, including direct clinical services such as formal psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention. In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team at ICC Changsha, you will develop, implement and evaluate individualized programs for children with developmental problems that stem from psychological, behavioural and/or psychiatric illness.
In collaboration with the Changsha interdisciplinary team, the Counsellor will be aid in delivering comprehensive care programs for children, youth and adults with physical and mental disabilities through appropriate individual and group counselling.
The Medical Doctor will support the Heng Yang Spring Project Medical Clinic in the diagnosis and treatment of babies, children and young people under the care of ICC. They will demonstrate an example of evidence based practice that meets the needs of children and young people with varying medical problems, and physical and intellectual disabilities.
As Music Therapist, you will use music creatively to encourage non-verbal communication from disabled children at ICC Changsha to ultimately influence positive behavioural and psychological changes. Through teamwork with the multidiscipline staff, you will play a crucial role in helping children develop appropriate social skills and self-awareness, and realize their true potential.

A Vocational Training Manager will be responsible for setting up a vocational programme for young people with physical and mental disabilities. They would also train and support a team of local workers who daily integrate and work with our youth. The role would be suited to a social worker, therapist or disability worker.
The incumbent of this position is responsible for coming alongside youth who are orphaned, abandoned or estranged from their families, mentoring them to become functioning members of local community as they grow and mature. The incumbent would have opportunity to work within a defined project or a programme such as Big Brother, Big Sister. This role would suit a young person or couple with a heart to see disadvantaged young people whole in every area of their lives.
