David is the founder and Executive Director of ICC, a ministry that started in 1993 to bring love, hope and opportunity to children in China who were abandoned because they were disabled.
Originally from the UK, David became a Christian at the age of 16 years old. After becoming a Christian and being involved in his local church, he sensed God calling him into a full time ministry position. David left the UK in 1990 to join Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training in Hong Kong. It was during this time that God called him to minister to the people of China.
After two years of Mandarin study, International China Concern was birthed. God used a visit to the Nanning Welfare Centre to open David’s eyes to the plight of China’s disabled orphans.
David has worked to develop the ministry of International China Concern and has been based in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. In December 2001 he relocated to Vancouver, Canada to complete ministry studies where he met and married Linda. They have two sons, Jamie and Kieran.
David continues to provide oversight and leadership to the development of ICC’s work both in China and Internationally.
